Meet the Staff!

Lauren Bull

Lauren Bull

Lauren worked as our Clubhouse after school teacher during the school year and is excited for summer camp! She is our resident poet and has a terrible habit of buying new books when she still has plenty on her bookshelf to read. She loves exploring the outdoors with her wife, Theresa, and her dog, Oates, and considers her motto to be: wag more, bark less. She wishes she had the magical ability to fly or knit beautiful clothes but she knows that both of those things are beyond her grasp. Lauren is new to Vermont and therefore a recent convert to creemees and Ben & Jerry’s flavors, so make sure you share your favorite flavor combinations and recommendations!

Joey Franceschetti

Joey just finished up his first year as a University of Delaware blue hen and is back in his native state of Vermont for the summer! He is carefree and easy going except when it comes to desserts. He prefers popsicles to ice cream, and fruit to pastries. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, firing up the grill, and being outside. If he could have any magical power, he’d choose mind-reading or a quicker way to fold laundry. He’s pretty good at soccer, but Joey wishes he could dance better so feel free to teach him any dance moves you’ve got!

Melissa Hiatt

Melissa is the perfect balance of warm and cool, just like her favorite color, purple! She is our resident Ms. Frizzle: a science teacher whose motto is work smarter, not harder, and is still trying to apply this to her dreaded chore of unloading the dishwasher. She loves watching her daily dose of Bill Nye or Magic School Bus with her husband, Ian, son, Noah, and dog, Clover. Her idea of perfect happiness is spending time with her family in a cabin by a lake, with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s Truffle Kerfuffle handy. Melissa wishes she could exist in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, so be sure to let her know if you know any magic!

Bailey Bissonnette

Bailey is our lifeguard and water safety instructor, with over 4 years of experience teaching kids how to swim and 16 years as a competitive swimmer! If she could, she would spend everyday at the beach swimming or reading a book in the sand. She wishes she could have the ability to fly or could play any instrument seamlessly, but speaking German fluently is her hidden talent! She attends the University of Kentucky and is happy to be home for the summer so she can have her fill of maple and black raspberry swirl creemees. She believes in the power of saying “yes” to everything and we are so glad she said “yes” to working with us at the Clubhouse this summer!

Thomas Urbanak

Thomas comes to us with experience as an after school teacher and overall Jack-of-all-trades! Give him an informational Youtube video, and he’ll learn it. His latest Youtube endeavour is learning the guitar! He is a kid at heart with an engineering mind, so you’ll find him cracking jokes and crafting rockets. He likes to take risks, except when it comes to his singing talents, and encourages his campers to weigh risks versus hazards to promote healthy adventuring! Thomas considers grocery shopping a hazard unless it includes a trip down the ice cream aisle, in which you’ll find him picking out his favorite pint of Ben & Jerry’s: Half Baked.
